Pay with your HSA/FSA card or a credit card. If you use a regular credit card, follow the guide included with your LMN to submit your purchase for reimbursement.
HSA/FSA accounts were created so individuals could use pre-tax money to pay for expenses used to treat, mitigate, or prevent a diagnosed medical condition.
Because HSA/FSAs use pre-tax money, you’re getting more purchasing power for your dollars. Rather than pay taxes on income and then spend it on health items, qualified customers can use pre-tax funds to invest in root cause interventions.
HSA (Health Savings Account) and FSA (Flexible Spending Account) are pre-tax health benefit accounts that may be used to purchase eligible health products. BowFlex has partnered with Truemed to enable qualified customers to use their HSA/FSA funds on eligible purchases. Eligibility depends on individual circumstances and is determined by an independent licensed practitioner through a clinical intake form at checkout.
Yes! Just add eligible products to your cart and proceed to checkout. Select "Pay with Truemed" as your payment method, then complete a clinical intake form. If the practitioner determines medical necessity, a Letter of Medical Necessity (LMN) is issued and your HSA/FSA payment is processed.
If your HSA/FSA balance does not cover the full purchase amount, you can pay the remainder with a credit or debit card during checkout.
Yes. If you prefer to use your regular credit card, Truemed will send you instructions on how to submit for reimbursement from your HSA/FSA administrator.
Yes, you can use discount codes on transactions that use an HSA/FSA as payment.
No. Once you're approved and receive an active LMN, you can use it for future eligible BowFlex purchases within its valid period.
There is no cost to you, as long as you are shopping with a Truemed partner merchant like BowFlex.
You can use your HSA/FSA funds all year long. However, FSA dollars expire at the end of the year and unused money may not rollover into the next year. Make sure to spend the rest of your FSA dollars before December 31st so you don't lose it!
A Letter of Medical Necessity (LMN) is a formal document that a licensed healthcare provider writes to explain why a specific treatment, product, or service is essential for a patient's health. Health insurance providers, health savings accounts (HSAs), or flexible spending accounts (FSAs) may request an LMN before reimbursing an expense.
Exercise is recognized as a qualified medical expense when accompanied by a Letter of Medical Necessity (LMN). Your letter can be used to support reimbursement from your HSA/FSA administrator.
Generally, it takes 2-5 hours, but you can place your order while you wait. In some cases, Truemed's provider team will require additional time to issue an LMN based on the needs associated with an individual qualification survey. If you aren't seeing your letter in your email inbox, check spam, then reach out to Truemed at support@Truemed.com for help.
Unfortunately, Truemed's services are for individuals who have HSA or FSA accounts (or plan to fund one during open enrollment). We encourage you to ask your employer about information on your HSA or FSA!
